777 Tim Korry - Indie Musician's Journal

The last few weeks have been very strange… in a good way. Honestly, I don’t know how much music content will be in this post. I just thought you should know….
I was stopped at a traffic light on the way to work listening to a Christian radio station that I would occasionally check out, when something life changing happened. I was always up for any kind of music as long as it was good and I’ve always considered myself a Christian (you may have taken a hint if you have heard any previously released CD’s and MP3’s).  I have always had twinges of feeling the Love of God or the direction of the Holy Spirit but honestly, it was probably after a few beers and some hours of alone time in the backyard or something of that nature. I’ve always believed that my songs were inspired by something else. I believe that the songs are already written in fact. That is probably why I tell people that I just listen to what’s going on in my head. I can’t take the credit for any of it.
To make a short story long, an intense wave of emotions physically flooded my body while stopped at a traffic light listening to a station called KLove on the way to work. I don’t know why or how this happened and was quite confused by the timing… there wasn’t any music playing, there was a morning show on but nothing out of the ordinary. I don't even remember what they were talking about but in a few words a rush of emotion was triggered that I cannot even begin to describe. I burst into tears not knowing if they were of joy sadness or both as the light turned green and I felt that a gigantic weight had been lifted from me (this went on all day btw). I had been carrying this weight for 25 years. I tried to feel the buzz of smoking, drinking, and carrying on for years because hey, I’m a rock & roller. But let me tell you that nothing compares to the feeling of letting go and letting the Holy Spirit take control and move inside. Again, it sounds lame when I try to put the intensity into human words. I was changed in one still moment. My heart, my eyes, my attitude all cleared and I praise God for that. I seriously went out that day and bought a new Bible (that I now read daily), and some great CD's from The Afters and Matthew West who wrote a song that described the way I was living "The Motions". Now, I did not become a perfect person or anything like that so don't  be quick to judge. I found that every minute of the day became a battle for this new spirit of peace and hope. I can imagine that I will be targeted more by the darkness of this world but I can surround myself with the strength of the Spirit, good people of God, good music, and most of all know that “In Christ I can do all things”.
Musically, I have a few Country music singles that I will release in the next few months hopefully selling one to Alan Jackson's crew (I didn’t think you would see that one coming either), but the way is decided in my next musical venture... I am currently writing and very excited about a full length Christian music album. Several things have moved, opened, and made some very big changes possible in my current situation and I will follow this path. I have had doors open in the area of a monster sequencer, the money to buy it, and many other opportunities. I am currently looking over a distribution contract from a Christian record company! I am thankful for this new day, I will not fear the uphill climb, and I will glorify God with all my heart, soul, and strength… and I’m feeling strong so grab a seatbelt and hold on.  This was a very personal experience that was only told to a few people but I felt that this change was not meant to remain silent.

Deo Duce- Tim Korry Indie Musician and Artist

It’s been a strange an interesting month. Many changes have taken place that involves the future and the direction of this current musical path. The song ‘Always’ was played on a Christian radio station and ‘9 Sticks’ was actually played on a commercial country station, and music video filming has begun. A new video production with TAYLOR Studios is being discussed for June. The amazing 3D green screen capabilities should really enhance the visual representation on the music.
We are working to get the “Emporium” up and running very soon. The decision has been made to release exclusive mp3 downloads and video content that will be available only at http://www.timkorry.com/. This will make the ever changing music business landscape less confusing… well at least on my part.
A new Spirit has recently taken control of my life and consequently the music and direction it takes. I will speak of this more in the next blog post. Thanks for your support through prayers and your “word of mouth” promotion of the website and music. In the meantime… May God speak to you.
