TIM KORRY- Indie Musician's Log- Stardate 10/11 Deo Optimo Maximo

The last five weeks have been really busy. 25 new songs have been developed and recorded for preproduction. Let me tell you 2-3 hours a night after an 8 hour day takes its toll a bit, but thanks to God for the opportunity and strength to move through it. The rough tracks are not solid yet and there are more yet on the way… literally a “work in progress”. Filming for the 9 Sticks video was to begin next month, but has been postponed due to some time and personnel issues. These things happen. Moving forward, I anticipate releasing an animated music video before the end of the year and live streaming a show within the next few months. Currently I am working to release a single by years end called “Back to Your Heartbeat”.
This fall season has inspired a lot of thought and musical ideas. I’m not sure what will be happening next, but this is the dilemma of many artists. We live in boxes, we buy food and eat in boxes, we raise families in boxes, and we end up in boxes. What is outside the box? This is what we seek. News to come….

ROCKS- TIM KORRY Indie Musician's Blog

An opportunity materialized just a few weeks ago to play at a cool concert series called Chill on the Hill. This was a great chance to get the new music in front of a large crowd, however due to the unavailability of my backing musicians; this was also to be a testing ground for the new sequencer. Out of the frying pan…. After a month of hard work learning, sequencing, and practicing we were ready to test this thing out…. In front of a lot of people… no pressure. Through prayer and hard work we were able to provide some entertaining moments and really get a feel for using live musicians with sequenced material. Another experimental success was the ability to live stream the show thanks to AVXTRA. The show unfortunately was cut short do to timing issues at the venue but we were excited to test out the new technology all the same. Here is a clip of my friend TY laying down a positive gospel rap over a live version of “Under the Wishing Well”.
Focus is now shifting to video production of “Light as a Feather” and “9 Sticks”.
Writing and arranging has begun for the next full CD “Above the Snake Line”. There have been some challenging experiences in the last few weeks, but focusing on the positive has made the situations manageable. There are lots of rocks ahead but faith can move mountains, so what are a few rocks?
